  • Human Slaves Sold on Craigslist

    Did you read the title to this post? No, you didn’t read it wrong. Actually, a more accurate title would be: Children Sold for Sex on Craigslist.

    This is no joke. Last month, Love146 initiated a “Call to Action” campaign to ask Craigslist, popular public marketplace website, to make a New Year’s resolution of better monitoring its “Erotic Services” section in order to pro-actively prevent the sale and trafficking of children for sexual purposes.

    Craigslist failed to respond to a petition signed by many and now we ask that you join us in our boycott of the Craigslist website.

  • The Shan




    Shan-Tai Intercessors b    ulletin 100
    We covet your prayers to see the Kingdom of God established amongst the Shan-Tai.

    Tension is rising in Burma again. The military government (SPDC) have doubled the price of fuel and there have been demonstrations in Yangon. Elsewhere in the country too there is talk of possible fighting. As the "government" gets to the end of its discussions on creating a new constitution the pressure to strive for one army over all of Burma is creating tension with ethnic minorities who have their own armies. Many of these armies have fragile ceasefire agreements with the SPDC. One man that I spoke to this week said, "We don't want to resort to arms, we want to live peacefully, but the Burmese army come and take all of our produce leaving us with nothing. We have no alternative but to leave our homes and protect ourselves."
    • This is the 100th Shan-Tai intercessors bulletin. Thank you for your intercession on behalf of the Shan. Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your own life that you may be empowered afresh in you prayers for the Shan-Tai.
    • "Our hope is for peace and a quiet life." Pray that the Prince of peace would rend the heavens and come down establishing His kingdom among the Shan-Tai as it is in Heaven.
    • As the Shan continue to face persecution pray that they will call out to the UNKNOWN GOD who made them and who is close enough to save them if they call upon his name.
    Don't keep the blessing of praying for the Shan-Tai to yourself, get others praying with you!

  • Moved in...

    I just moved up to Gloucester, MA - to start my seminary career - into a beautiful house that's literally right next to a more beautiful beach. Here are some photos I would like to share:

  • The Most Interesting Pieces

    I've been using Google Reader - an RSS feed reader - basically it takes all the blogs your subscribe to and organizes them in an easily readable fashion.
